PORTLAND ROSE FESTIVAL DRAGON BOAT RACES
The Rose Festival is proud to host the Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Races, an event that has been bringing an exciting Chinese tradition to Portland for more than two decades, beginning in 1989. Held on the Willamette River near the Hawthorne Bridge, the races feature exciting four-team heats held every nine minutes. More than 80 different teams — local, national and international — compete in boats graciously provided through the Portland-Kaohsiung Sister City Association.

PORTLAND ROSE FESTIVAL
Every year for more than a century, the City of Roses* has thrown itself a massive party in the form of the Portland Rose Festival. Declared the city’s official festival in 2010, the celebration includes more than 60 events, starting in late May and ending in mid-June. With the festival comes parades, carnival rides, art shows, dragon boat races, fun runs and more. (Best of all, everyone is invited) For a full list of events and activities, check the festival’s websitePortland Rose Festival festival kicks off with a spectacular Opening Night Fireworks Show on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. For a great view, grab a seat on the Ferris wheel at CityFair, a celebration spanning three weekends at downtown Portland’s Waterfront Park. CityFair features carnival rides, food and beer and live music, along with a headlining performer that’s a guaranteed party starter.

The Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Races bring the party to the Willamette River as 60 local, national and international teams compete in ornate boats provided by the Portland-Kaohsiung Sister City Association.

PEDALPALOOZA
Whether you’re a cycling fanatic, an occasional cruiser or just a lover of fun events, Pedalpalooza has something for you. Held all over Portland, this bike- and fun-focused festival celebrates summer’s arrival with over 100 rides throughout town.

Don’t know where to start? Why not start at the yearly Kickoff Ride at the beginning of the festivities? Dress up you and your bike and take to the streets to celebrate biking and the community. You can also Head to Portland’s verdant Gateway Green, Portland’s very first cycling park. Or join the thousands of riders who cycle through the city in the buff during the World Naked Bike Ride.

ROSE FESITVAL CITYFAIR
Considered the "hub" of the annual Portland Rose Festival, CityFair fills Waterfront Park with carnival rides, concerts, food and fireworks for multiple weekends during the festival. 

ROSE FESTIVAL FLEET WEEK
Since 1907, visiting ships have made their way to Portland's waterfront. The City of Roses is known to be a favorite port of call for military (and non-military) visitors, as Portland's citizens thank them and make them feel welcome. The Portland Rose Festival is extremely fortunate to be one of a few U.S. Ports of Call for a courtesy visit from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and Royal Canadian Navy. Their arrival commemorates a relationship with the Navy that has lasted more than 100 years and over 80 years of visiting Portland during the Rose Festival. It is a significant commitment by the Navy to make Rose Festival Fleet Week one of the premier Fleet Week events in the country.

Tips for ship tours:
Bring your government-issued ID
Visitors will pass through an airport-style security screening checkpoint and may be subject to personal search.
Visitors must wear closed-toe shoes.
Bags, strollers, and wheelchairs are not allowed on board, and there is no 'holding area' for personal items.
Do not bring any items on the prohibited items list.
Visitors must be physically able to maneuver on board, including climbing narrow ladders.
Although Navy vessels are not ADA accessible, visitors with mobility issues may request a dockside tour by checking in at the tent near the front of the ship tour line.

BEAUTIFICA 360

ZOO BREW
ZooBrew is back. Kick off summer with more than 40 of the best breweries and cideries the Northwest has to offer. Enjoy live music from Cadillacs for Everyone, keeper chats, lawn games and more. Delicious local food carts and dinner options will be available throughout the zoo – discover perfect culinary pairings for beer and cider.  Each early entry and general admission ticket includes 10 drink tickets (3 oz pours) and a souvenir glass. Guests must be 21 and older. Proceeds from Zoo Brew help the zoo achieve its mission of creating a better future for wildlife.

PORTLAND INDIGENOUS MARKETPLACE
Grand Opening event at the new office space where Indigenous and Black vendors are ready to help with all your gifting needs.
Portland Indigenous Marketplace (PIM) is a culturally-specific, community response organization. All members of PIM’s board and staff reflect the community served. As active Indigenous and Black Artists and Entrepreneurs, they utilize their extensive networks to connect with the community. The Indigenous and Black Artists and Entrepreneurs this organization serves through the Indigenous Marketplace programming are, of course, the greatest partners and contributors in this work. This amazing community of vendors continues to show up, collaborate, and help this organization grow. The Indigenous Marketplace events are free, family-friendly and open to the public. 

MOVIE NIGHT AT THE ALBANY / CORVALLIS KOA
Every Saturday, from Memorial Day - Labor Day, we will be offering a movie night in the field! Come join us at 9:00pm with your popcorn and chairs! Check with the office for the weekly movie.

WINTER ROD AND SPEED SHOW
The Winter Rod and Speed Show located in Albany, Oregon at the Linn County Expo Center returns January 20-21 2023. Over 100 cars, including hot rods, muscle cars, bikes, low riders, custom trucks and race cars from all over the Northwest gather for a show they will be talking about for months! From the best to a couple of the worst, the Winter Rod and Speed Show has something for everyone!

ALBANY FARMER'S MARKET
Founded in 1978, the Albany Farmers’ Market is the oldest continuously operated open-air farmers’ market in Oregon. Located in the City Hall parking lot and on an adjacent street that fronts the Linn County Courthouse, the market offers visitors an abundance of fresh, locally sourced food. From ripe, juicy produce to artisanal cheeses and freshly baked bread, there is something for everyone to enjoy. MONTAVILLA FARMERS MARKET
Neighborhood farmers market featuring local farms, distilleries, coffee, bakeries, flowers, hot food vendors and more.  The market was founded by a grassroots collection of neighbors who were inspired by visions of a fresh, local, food market in a shared community space within the growing SE Stark Street business district. This dedicated group opened the market in just 10 short months with a small amount of grant funds and a generous outpouring of donations from local businesses, friends and neighbors. The tireless energy of these un-paid visionaries and countless other volunteers allowed MFM to open its first market on Sunday, July 22, 2007, with 17 vendors and over 2000 visitors. Montavilla Farmers Market is a thriving, diverse marketplace where all are welcome.

PORTLAND NIGHT MARKET
The Portland Night Market showcases many unique businesses that call Portland home. Blending food, culture, music, drinks and retail for an adventurous evening in the Central Eastside. Meet some of Portland's best makers and creators. With almost 200 hundred makers, the Night Market offers food carts, drinks, clothing, lifestyle goods, home goods, body care and art. The Portland Night Market is a FREE quarterly event open to all ages. 

FARMERS MARKET AT PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY
The Portland Farmers Market at Portland State University will be open every Saturday, year-round. April through October hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. November through March hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Market at PSU is located in Downtown Portland in the South Park Blocks between SW College & Montgomery Streets.

HOLLYWOOD FARMERS MARKETS
Year-round on Saturdays, the Hollywood Farmers Markets hosts 50+ vendors, bringing you the best of the region’s agricultural bounty. In addition to amazingly fresh, local food,  you’ll find live music, children’s activities, and fun events throughout the season.
